What does the youth have to say? In the midst of all this hullabaloo, where does the youth stand? Do they feel something about anything at all? What are their feelings and thoughts about what's happening in the world? This blog is about me as a young individual wanting to share my two cent's worth. I am young. And this is my language.

Electric Zoo deaths
The Electric Zoo outdoor festival on New York City's Randall Island was canceled early Sunday after two Ecstasy overdose deaths were reported at the event. The organizers of the electronic music festival issued a brief statement on their Facebook page. City officials recommended cancelling the rest of the event due to "serious health risks", and the promoters agreed to shut it down, according to Fox 5 News on Sept. 1.
Two concertgoers died, with four others reported critically ill, during the first two days of the Electric Zoo music festival. The four victims in critical condition are in the intensive care units of area hospitals.
Officials report the two dead victims apparently overdosed on MDMA, nicknamed molly, an illegal drug typically combined with other chemicals in Ecstasy pills, according to the Daily News.
The two victims are being reported as Jeffrey Russ, 23, of Rochester, who was rushed to Harlem Hospital at 3:10 a.m. Saturday but was unable to be saved.
Olivia Rotundo, 20, of Providence, R.I., was transported to Metropolitan Hospital at 8:45 p.m. Saturday. Efforts to revive her failed and she died about 50 minutes later, according to police.
The Electric Zoo organizers said in their statement that they have worked with city officials to reduce health risks at the event, but felt the best course of action in light of the deaths was to cancel the final day of this year's event.
The organizers also posted their condolences on the festival's Facebook page. This was the fifth year for the event, which attracted over 100,000 attendees in 2012.
Electric Zoo is an annual Labor Day celebration on New York's Randall Island in the East River, which attracts a wide variety of the top acts from around city and the world in celebration of various genres of electronic music.
The festival was set to conclude Sunday with DJ sets by Armin Van Buuren, Sebastiona Ingrosso, Steve Aoki and Laidback Luke.
Some posted angry messages to the event's Facebook page, expressing sorrow for the victims, and outrage at the cancellation of the final day.
Tickets to the outdoor dance music celebration cost $179. No word yet on whether refunds will be given.
